As the Event Manager within Event Health Services (EHS), you will play a pivotal role in leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-quality medical support across a diverse range of public events. From local community gatherings to large-scale mass participation and mass gathering events such as concerts, festivals, sporting fixtures, and cultural celebrations, you’ll ensure safe, responsive, and professional medical coverage is in place.

This dynamic role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with clients, volunteers, and operational teams to deliver tailored medical solutions that meet the unique demands of each event. You will be instrumental in applying structured command principles aligned with MIMMS and AIMMS, ensuring readiness, resilience, and excellence in service delivery across Western Australia.

You will work on a rotating red shift roster (4 days on, 4 days off, Monday to Sunday), including after-hours on-call responsibilities during rostered days. This ensures uninterrupted service and timely response capability, supporting seamless care delivery and operational resilience.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Event Operations Lead to design and implement comprehensive frameworks and operational guidelines that support the effective delivery of event health care services
  • Represent EHS at client and stakeholder briefings to ensure alignment and understanding of event health requirements
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to support safe and compliant event operations
  • Facilitate clear and timely communication with volunteers and staff before, during, and after events
  • Monitor and ensure all event operations adhere to current organisational policies and regulatory standards
  • Work closely with the EHS Logistics Team to maintain operational readiness of all equipment, vehicles, and assets
  • Ensure sufficient numbers of trained personnel are available to meet the demands of specialist event roles
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of volunteer event specialist roles, including recruitment, onboarding, training, ongoing support, and internal communications
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to support ongoing collaboration and service of event health excellence
  • Ensure event specific medical operations plans are developed and dynamically adjusted as needed to meet evolving client and patron needs
  • Champion high standards of customer service for all patients, clients, and stakeholders.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience in event planning, management, and resourcing
  • Clinical scope of Event Ambulance Officer or higher, or be willing to attend required clinical training
    Experience in motivating and leading others
  • Qualifications in MIMMS and AIMMS (desirable)
  • Unrestricted driver’s license with no more than 6 demerit points (essential)
  • Working with Children Check (essential)
  • Clinical event experience (desirable)
  • Experience in managing large teams of staff and volunteers (desirable)
  • WHS qualifications or background (highly desirable)
