As a Manager, Infrastructure Delivery at St John WA, you are responsible for leading a high-performing team to deliver efficient, reliable, and customer-focused technology services that align with the organisation’s strategic objectives. This role combines oversight of IT infrastructure and service delivery with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and effective collaboration across departments.

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Head Office in Belmont with flexible working arrangements are available.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead strategic and operational planning to align IT services with organisational priorities, fostering innovation, defining objectives, and negotiating the effective allocation of recourses across teams and initiatives.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and guidance to team members and project leads, fostering a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and supporting professional growth and accountability.
  • Manage and develop team capability, including recruitment, performance management, scheduling, and continuous development to ensure the team operates at optimal efficiency and professionalism.
  • Identify and implement emerging technologies, tools, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen service delivery, and support business transformation.
  • Benchmark and analyse IT systems and infrastructure, providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to improve performance, scalability, and future readiness.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies and standards, including architecture, security, disaster recovery, and service delivery frameworks to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and ongoing support of all IT systems, including infrastructure, hardware, operating systems, and end-user devices, to ensure consistent, reliable performance.

What you’ll need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar IT leadership role (Infrastructure, Applications or Operations), with a track record of managing cross-functional teams, driving service improvement, and delivering strategic outcomes.
  • High level of verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills including evidence of building networks and collaborative working arrangements with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated expertise in IT infrastructure planning, implementation, and optimisation, with a focus on scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions aligned to business requirements.
  • Applied knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, PRINCE2, or PMBOK), with experience leading complex, cross-functional technology initiatives.
