A job to be proud of:

As a Project Support Officer at St John WA, you are responsible for providing essential support to project leadership across allocated projects within the Digital Services function, ensuring delivery of project activities, milestones and outcomes in line with established governance frameworks, reporting standards, and delivery expectations. The Project Support Officer contributes to delivery discipline by maintaining high-quality project artefacts, supporting effective coordination, and enabling visibility of scope, schedule, and budget across the portfolio.

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Head Office in Belmont.

What you’ll do:

  • Support Project Managers to plan, document, manage, execute and report progress of their allocated projects in alignment with the project plan and controls.
  • Monitor project performance and delivery milestones, gather stakeholder input, and support continuous improvement by identifying and recommending adjustments to delivery approach or governance practices.
  • Maintain transparency across all project documentation and records to enable accurate performance evaluation, assurance checks, and informed decision making.
  • Support project leadership in preparing high-quality reports, packs, and presentations for governance forums, Steering Committees, and Executive Boards, ensuring messaging is accurate, consistent, and insight driven.
  • Provide administrative support to the project teams, including preparation of variable reports, documentation management, and maintenance of project tools and registers used to store governance artefacts.
  • Proactively analyse project-level information to identify potential risks, delays, or material issues that may hinder delivery progress, and report these to the project leadership.
  • Maintain and administer project collaboration tools and platforms (e.g. Jira, SharePoint, Confluence, MS Teams) to ensure artefacts and records are accurate, up to date, and accessible to all stakeholders.

What you’ll need:

  • High attention to detail.
  • Minimum 2 years’ of experience required in similar role, such as Project Support Officer in technology projects.
  • Demonstrated capability to assist in program/project financial management, the delivery of work packages and with the compilation of program/project information.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Confident in presenting complex or detailed information in a professional, concise, and accessible manger to senior stakeholders.
