About the Role:

We are looking for a Workshop Mechanic to join our State Control and Logistics department on a permanent full-time basis. Ensure all organisational vehicles and equipment are maintained and repaired to operational standards.

What we offer: 

Is a modern airconditioned workshop that is well-equipped and has all the equipment required to make the work safe and efficient. You will have your own service bay with a 4-post hoist and all the specialty tools needed to carry out repairs and servicing. All you need to bring is your own hand tools. We offer both inhouse and specialty training with our partners to keep you up to date with your skills.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure all organisational vehicles and equipment are maintained and repaired to operational standards
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance, upgrading and servicing on a regular basis
  • Deliver vehicles to outside contractors for repairs to ensure operational requirements are met
  • Provide technical support for internal stakeholders to assist with technical information and repairs
  • Record service and repair information on service/fault sheets and update fleet management system
  • Maintain a safe work environment and comply with occupational health and safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure all administrative tasks comply with company policies and procedures

What You’ll Need:

  • Relevant qualification in Automotive Mechanical
  • Minimum 3 years of experience required in similar role
  • C Class drivers’ license
  • Light Rigid (LR) license (desirable)
  • Air-conditioning repairer’s license/refrigerant handling
  • Competency with computer programs in a professional capacity
  • Excellent problem solving, time management, communication skills
  • Vast product and procedural knowledge including diagnostic skills
  • Extensive experience with mechanical, automotive electrical repairs & wheel alignment
  • Full working rights in Australia
