St John WA have an exciting opportunity for experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Wellbeing Safety and Injury Management team on a Permanent Full-Time basis. You’ll be part of a highly skilled, committed and collaborative team that together provide crucial and highly valued services to the rest of the organisation.

The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for providing specialist advice and consultation, assisting those experiencing psychological injury, promoting workplace mental health, wellbeing and psychosocial safety, and providing expertise in recruitment and assessment processes. This position will work Monday to Friday between 8:30am to 4:30pm, reporting into the Manager of Psychology and Wellbeing Services

What you’ll do:

  • Provide expert clinical psychological support to St John WA staff and volunteers, including biopsychosocial and suicide risk assessments.
  • Deliver specialist consultation on mental health and wellbeing to internal teams and leadership.
  • Assist with the provision of critical incident responses when required (this may involve an afterhours response, as well as taking part in the on-call roster with the team).
  • Facilitate access to care through referrals to external providers within the St John WA network.
  • Contribute to psychosocial risk assessment, governance, and the development of strategies to ensure a psychologically safe workplace.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of organisation-wide mental health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in psychometrics to support psychologically informed recruitment and assessment processes.
  • Promote a culture of psychological safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement aligned with organisational values.

 What you’ll need:

  • Accredited master’s degree in clinical psychology
  • Current AHPRA registration as a psychologist with an endorsement in Clinical Psychology.
  • Board approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia (preferable)
  • Proven experience working in the field of psychology, preferably within a corporate or organisational setting or experience in private practice.
  • Previous experience in the governance and oversight of psychosocial hazards in the workplace.
  • Experience providing subject matter expertise in recruitment and assessment processes related to mental health and psychometrics.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including HR professionals, managers, and paid and volunteer team members.
  • Continuous professional development and currency across the latest research and trends in workplace mental health and wellbeing.
