The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for two Human Resources Business Partners/Employee Relations Specialists to join our team and partner with our leaders in delivering strategic human resources solutions and improving organisational performance to meet the objectives of St John WA.

As a key member of our team, you will offer reliable and timely support and advice to the business. This will be on various people-related matters, employee relations, and investigations. You will also have the opportunity to provide support and guidance to a team of 1-2 Human Resources Generalists and Advisors and work closely with other colleagues within the People directorate to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach. There is a permanent position and a 12-month fixed term position to cover a parental leave period.

What you’ll need:

  • Proven experience in the end-to-end investigation processing, including witness statements, findings, report.
  • Extensive experience in case management, demonstrating proficiency in risk assessment and providing relevant stakeholders with high-quality advice and actions in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Human Resources Business Partner/Employee Relations Specialist role (or similar) where you have successfully developed strategies and solutions to effectively address a variety of human resources and employee relations matters.
  • The ability to coach and support leaders to address performance, conflict and conduct concerns.
  • A solid understanding of employment legislation and the ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards and Contracts of Employment
  • Proficiency in developing briefing notes, business cases, and other business-related documentation.
  • Tertiary qualification in human resources management or similar (desirable).
  • The ability to travel throughout Western Australia on an ad hoc, short term basis as required (occasionally this may also include an overnight stay)
