About the Role:

We are looking for an Industrial Relations Advisor to join our People Stream on a Permanent Full-time basis in our Belmont office. The Industrial Relations Advisor is responsible for providing accurate and timely support to your allocated stream and the Industrial Relations team, through the application of administrative process and the provision of general advice to managers, employees and volunteers, interpreted from industrial instruments, policy and procedure.

Open to Full time or Part time hours.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate meetings, consultations and workshops with unions and key stakeholders.
  • Support Enterprise Agreement bargaining through data gathering, minute-taking, communications and legislative compliance.
  • Manage union queries, disputes and the Industrial Relations inbox, providing timely and professional responses.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on case management and industrial relations data.
  • Maintain and update Industrial Relations and People Stream policies, procedures and intranet content.
  • Provide advice and support on union-related matters, dispute resolution and Fair Work Commission matters.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve employee enquiries and ensure consistent application of policies and standards.
  • Assist with inductions, legislative compliance activities and payroll audits as required.

What You’ll Need:

  • Tertiary qualification in human resources management, industrial relations, law or a related field (desirable).
  • Previous experience in an Administration Officer role (desirable)
  • Good problem solving and organisational skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Understanding of industrial relations/employee relations knowledge and ability to provide advice relating to employment contracts, awards/agreements and employee relations/industrial relations legislation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply judgement and problem solve in complex situation.
  • Strong Microsoft suite skills (particularly excel)
  • Demonstrated skills in research and analysis.
  • Possess excellent writing and communication skills and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
