We are currently seeking experienced Industrial Trainer & Assessors to deliver First Aid courses in Bunbury. This is an ideal opportunity to teach your community to save lives and join the market leader in First Aid. Join our supportive team on Part Time basis 7.5 hours a week and help create resilient communities. This role will be delivering our certificate III in Health Care to school students one day a week for terms 1 - 3.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure all appropriate course materials are followed in all course deliveries
  • Ensure that the necessary preparation has been undertaken prior to commencement of each lesson
  • Maintain and apply a high standard of instruction in all lessons
  • Ensure that all student evaluation and assessment procedures are thoroughly prepared and documented, regularly updated and reviewed, and students are fully aware of all assessment requirements
  • Ensure that the Trainers' knowledge is kept current and appropriate training courses are attended periodically
  • Ensure that all necessary help is given in researching and updating the resources used in the training of Trainers and public
  • Attend skill standards training as required during the year
  • Deliver face to face training as per the qualification requirements
  • Work in collaboration with First Aid services and Training Student Support Officer
  • Work in collaboration with Training design and governance

What you’ll need:

  • Good problem solving and organisational skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Understanding VET education and AQTF/ASQA requirements
  • Experience in presentation and facilitation which includes experience training and assessing VET courses
  • Working knowledge of Trainer and assessor guidelines and practices
  • Ability to apply course specific principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently with corporate and private clientele
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Industry experience in Health Care (desirable)

Qualifications Required:

  • TAE40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • HLT41120 Certificate IV in Health Care (or Certificate III in Heath Care or be able to demonstrate equivalency)
  • Current C or CA class driver’s license
  • Current HLTAID011 Provide first aid Certificate or higher
  • Working with Children Check
