An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail orientated individual to join our Finance Department as our Patient Records Clerk. This is a casual opportunity to cover a leave period for 5 weeks.  This integral position involves the processing and entering of patient record forms into the accounting system.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify the correct debtor to receive an account for ambulance transport to ensure that each individual patient care record is charged to the person responsible for the ambulance transport invoice.
  • Review each patient care record to determine where billing is appropriate i.e Identifying sensitive Cases    
  • Check patient care records for errors and omissions then input the correct information to ensure the accuracy of record information 
  • Input case sheet data into the database in a timely manner. Kpi’s are set.
  • Reverse and recharge accounts rejected by debtors and correct any errors .
  • Resolve and respond to email queries relating to accounts as required.
  • Completed monthly invoicing to major debtors for example WA Police, Insurance Commission of WA and Metro and Country Hospitals.

What you’ll need:

  • Strong administration and organisational skills with prior experience in a similar capacity being highly regarded but not essential.
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • A health and/or customer service background would be advantageous.
  • A self-starter attitude with the ability to work autonomously and manage independent workload.
