Medical Receptionist - SOR - Casual - Health Care/GP experience will be highly regarded

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist on a Casual Basis. You will be required to travel to all our clinics SOR including Cockburn, Cannington, Armadale and Kelmscott. The successful candidate will bring proven experience in a Health Care/GP setting, along with a strong commitment to providing high-quality administrative support within a healthcare environment.

In this role, you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation of St John Medical and Urgent Care, occasionally working autonomously. You will follow established high-quality processes and procedures to ensure the delivery of consistent, professional service to patients, doctors, and corporate clients.

Our clinics are open 7 days per week and hours will range from 7.30am and 10:00pm Monday to Sunday. Must be prepared to work weekends and be flexible to accept shifts at short notice as you will be covering sick leave and annual leave of permanent staff.

What you will be doing:

  • Taking bookings for patients using Best Practice software
  • Processing Patient Paperwork (Faxing/Scanning and emailing Documents)
  • Rescheduling Patient appointments
  • Answering multiple busy phone lines
  • Billings and accounts (HICAPS and EFTPOS)

You will have:

  • Previous experience in a busy medical reception role
  • Best Practice software experience or similar
  • Professional presentation and attitude
  • Genuine interest in helping people
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a busy environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have good availability
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Current Police Clearance
