St John WA is inviting passionate graduate paramedics to begin their career as Paramedic Interns in the Perth Metropolitan area. This is your opportunity to build confidence, clinical capability, and progress toward becoming an independent Ambulance Paramedic.
About the Role:
A Paramedic Intern is a graduate, registered paramedic undertaking a structured, hands-on development program designed to transition you into a fully qualified Ambulance Paramedic.
At St John WA, our two-stage Paramedic Intern Program runs over a minimum of 18 months, combining clinical exposure, education, and operational experience. Throughout the program, paramedic interns are expected to promptly and efficiently respond to all ambulance calls across the Perth Metropolitan area, delivering high‑quality pre‑hospital care to patients when they need it most.

*We encourage Paramedicine students who will be completing their degree in 2026 to apply, please leave out the initially required degree certificate and advise in your cover letter when you will be graduating.

*Assessment Centres have been scheduled for the 17th –28th August 2026 should you be invited to this stage of the recruitment process, we kindly request that you ensure your availability on one of those dates.
