St John Health operates primary health clinics across the metro area located in Armadale/Kelmscott, Midland, Cockburn, Cannington, Joondalup and Osborne Park. These facilities are state of the art and offer a range of combined health solutions including GP, Urgent Care and Dental, along with allied services and x-ray/imaging facilities. We also operate a rural GP clinic in Kambalda.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Medical Receptionist on a Part-time Basis. You will be based in our Joondalup clinic but will be required on occasion to travel to Osborne Park and Midland and support the smooth running of the St John Health clinics by working efficiently, effectively and on occasion autonomously, in line with high quality processes and procedures which are designed to ensure the provision of a consistent level of service to Patients, Doctors and Clients. 

The successful candidate will bring proven experience in a Health Care/GP setting, along with a strong commitment to providing high-quality administrative support within a healthcare environment.

Senior Medical Receptionist Roster:

Monday: 5.00pm - 10.00pm

Friday: 5.00pm - 10.00pm

Saturday: 11.30am - 10.00pm

What you will be doing:

  • Taking bookings for patients using Best Practice software
  • Processing Patient Paperwork (Faxing/Scanning and emailing Documents)
  • Rescheduling Patient appointments
  • Answering multiple busy phone lines
  • Billings and accounts (HICAPS and EFTPOS)
  • Adhoc Administration Tasks
  • Staff supervision

You will have:

  • Previous experience in a busy medical reception role
  • Staff management experience
  • Best Practice software experience
  • Professional presentation and attitude
  • Genuine interest in helping people
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a busy environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Provide a current Police Clearance
