The Opportunity

As a Talent Sourcing Consultant within St John WA, you will partner with business units to facilitate the sourcing and selection of high-quality candidates for positions across the organisation. Working collaboratively with hiring managers to develop and implement recruitment plans and strategies that not only deliver quality hires but are also fair, equitable, unbiased, and compliant with employment legislation.

You will join a passionate and dedicated team who work collaboratively to share learnings, celebrate professional and personal milestones, and encourage innovative thinking. This is a 9-month fixed term opportunity, available on a full-time or part-time basis based in our Belmont office.

What you will do:

  • Partner with managers across the business to provide talent sourcing solutions across operational positions
  • Build recruitment plans, with agreed approach of recruitment inclusive of timeframes and gain commitment from Hiring Managers on their deliverables
  • Develop a selection matrix identifying position competencies both behavioural and technical and key selection criteria and how this will be assessed during the selection process
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, coaching and educating them on selection processes
  • Apply the use of selection tools such as assessment centre, interviews, presentations, skills assessment, psychometric assessment and reference checks to gain the evidence required to determine the suitability of candidates for selection
  • Ensure compliance with processes, procedures and employment legislation
  • Ensure candidates are kept up to date and well informed of the progress of their job application

What you will need:

  • Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment practices, including advertising, screening, competency-based interviewing, assessment centres, compliance, and on-boarding
  • Passion for building and maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers and applicants
  • Strong understanding of recruitment compliance, processes, procedure and employment legislation
  • Be a subject matter expert for our hiring managers and provide advice on contemporary recruitment and selection practices
  • Experience in developing talent pipelines for future workforce requirements via LinkedIn, Seek Talent Search and other tools
