St John Dental operates in primary health clinics across the metro area located in Armadale/Kelmscott, Cannington, Cockburn, Joondalup, Midland & Osborne Park. These facilities are state of the art and offer a range of combined health solutions including GP, Urgent Care and Dental, along with allied services and x-ray/imaging facilities.

Dental Practice Manager - Cockburn – Parental Leave Cover, Fixed Term Contract – Parental Leave – June 2026 – February 2027

The Role:

As the Dental Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of our St John Dental Practice in Cockburn. The practice incorporates medical, dental and urgent care facilities and you will be responsible for leading and managing the Dental Department with the support of strong senior personnel including Dental Practice Operations Manager and Dental Business and Development Manager.

This is a fixed term opportunity starting in June 2026 to February 2027, Monday - Friday, 76 hours a fortnight.

What you will be doing:

  • Successfully lead and develop a growing dental practice.
  • Ensure the day-to-day running of the practice is smooth and productive.
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to recruit, train and manage staff including performance management and review.
  • Effectively co-ordinate both clinical and administrative teams and manage resources with efficient rostering and time management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory protocols and industry standards with particular focus on infection control processes and procedures.
  • Successfully manage the practice expenses and costs by monitoring billing, budgets and financial reports.
  • Care for our patients like they are family and bring a positive and professional energy to the team

To be considered you will have:

  • Experience as a Dental Practice manager or Senior team leader/coordinator with the proven ability and experience to develop, manage, and support a growing dental practice.
  • Significant chair-side and Dental Reception experience.
  • Experience using Dental4windows in room and reception.
  • Knowledge of Health Care funds and HICAPS.
  • Exceptional inter-personal and customer service skills
  • Clinical skill set will be highly regarded
