The Opportunity

Industry Medical Services (IMS) and Event Health Services (EHS) are seeking skilled and adaptable Medics to join our casual pool, supporting a diverse range of contracts across Western Australia.

This unique opportunity offers exposure to construction and aviation environments, public events, and community-based settings, with flexible shifts and opportunities to cover leave and short-term assignments. Successful candidates will work across both IMS and EHS operations, delivering high-quality patient care in dynamic and fast-paced environments.

In 2026, there will be one intake only for Medic inductions, making this a limited and highly competitive opportunity for motivated clinicians looking to take the next step in their career.

Successful applicants must be available to attend one of the following training cohorts:

  • Class 1: 20–24 July 2026
  • Class 2: 27–31 July 2026
    (Monday to Friday)

About You

You are an Event Ambulance Officer or Emergency Medical Technician with a minimum of 12 months’ off probation. You’re confident working independently, bringing strong clinical skills and a calm, proactive approach to challenging situations. You take pride in delivering high-quality care, upholding safety standards, and communicating effectively with patients, clients, and emergency services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe and effective pre-hospital care in line with Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs), organisational procedures, and scope of practice
  • Provide high-quality patient care to workers, patrons, participants, event staff, contractors, and members of the public
  • Maintain medical equipment, vehicles, and clinical supplies in a clean, compliant, and ready-to-use condition
  • Conduct daily pre-start checks on vehicles and medical equipment where required
  • Maintain accurate patient care records and documentation
  • Collaborate effectively with patients, clients, emergency services, event organisers, site management, and internal stakeholders
  • Participate in emergency response activities, drills, and general healthcare support
  • Uphold workplace health and safety standards and promote a positive safety culture
  • Ensure all patient interactions are handled professionally and confidentially
  • Represent IMS and EHS professionally at all times

Essential Requirements

  • Over 12 months experience as an Event Ambulance Officer or Emergency Medical Technician
  • Current Working With Children (WWC) Card
  • Police Clearance (within 3 months)
  • Ability to pass a fit for work assessment, including drug and alcohol screening
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Intermediate competency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Own reliable transport
  • Ability to pass an ASIC background check
  • Current unrestricted WA Driver’s Licence - No more than 6 demerit points
