You will oversee the strategy relating to all medical equipment, including the installation and repair of all medical equipment, and change management processes related to medical equipment, to ensure that the maintenance activities of St John WA’s Fleet, Radio & Equipment Department are not disrupted.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure Medical Equipment KPI’s are achieved to the required performance standard as determined by line manager
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of medical equipment, stretchers and spare parts at all times.
  • Oversee the fit out of medical equipment in new vehicles and decommissioning of old vehicles to appropriate standards.
  • Maintain oversight of spend within function and provide information to line manager for budgets and function expenditure
  • Support Medical Equipment Technician in the installation, repair and maintenance of medical equipment as required.
  • Ensure the Medical Equipment team maintains work log/service fault sheet to a high standard that are accurately completed
  • Ensure life cycling process of all medical equipment and devices is me
  • Work collaboratively with the Planning Lead and internal stakeholders in the modification of vehicle layout to ensure it does not impact patient/service delivery.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience as a Medical Equipment Technician with several years’ experience or experience in a similar role in an equipment/maintenance and service industry
  • Background in corporate, health, community, or commercial based sectors.
  • Relevant Medical Technician qualifications
  • 2 years’ of experience required in similar role
  • C Class drivers’ license
  • Good working knowledge of systems, tools, and process within the ambit of this position.
