St John WA has been serving the Western Australian community since 1922. Our organisation has grown into an integrated healthcare provider, connecting people across WA to lifesaving emergency services, urgent care, and health education.

We are a not-for-profit organisation, and we are committed to making a positive impact on the safety, wellbeing, and health of everyone, no matter where in WA they live. Our services are powered by more than 8,000 dedicated employees and volunteers who bring care, skill, and compassion to every corner of the state.

About the Role:

We are looking for a senior Marketing Technology & Analytics Partner to establish and lead a new capability within our Brand and Marketing team. The is a permanent full-time role based in Belmont.

Our Brand & Marketing function supports six distinct marketing streams: First Aid training, Primary Health clinics, equipment sales, volunteer recruitment, B2B and commercial services, and community programs. These streams operate across a complex digital and data environment that includes multiple analytics properties, tag management containers, advertising platforms, dashboards, websites and business system integrations.

Every one of these streams needs timely data, meaningful insights and the ability to understand what is working. As our marketing function continues to mature, we are seeking someone who can help us connect data across sources, strengthen measurement, improve governance and turn information into better decisions.

This is a new role and a rare opportunity to build the marketing data, measurement and platform governance function from the ground up.

As Marketing Technology & Analytics Partner, you will be the internal owner of marketing measurement, analytics, platform governance and data quality across Brand & Marketing.

You will help St John WA get greater value from its marketing investment, technology platforms and customer data by creating a more structured, trusted and insight-led approach to performance measurement.

This is not a campaign delivery role and it is not a traditional reporting role. It is a hands-on, senior specialist role that sits at the intersection of marketing, data, technology, customer insight, governance and performance.

You will work closely with marketing teams, digital and CX teams, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Architecture, agencies and external vendors to ensure our marketing data is accurate, well-governed and genuinely useful for decision-making.

You will also help mature the way we work with external partners. This role is not a replacement for our media agency. Instead, it provides the internal capability layer that allows St John WA to own its measurement infrastructure, strengthen platform governance and ensure agencies and vendors are working from clear, consistent standards.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and improve the marketing analytics and measurement framework across multiple business streams.
  • Develop measurement plans that connect marketing activity to business outcomes and KPIs.
  • Govern Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager implementation, configuration and data quality.
  • Establish consistent campaign naming, UTM tagging and cross-platform measurement standards.
  • Build and maintain self-serve dashboards and reporting tools for marketing teams and leaders.
  • Translate complex performance data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Review and quality-assure agency and vendor measurement recommendations before implementation.
  • Act as the bridge between marketing, agencies and internal technical teams for tracking, tagging and data requirements.
  • Translate external measurement requests into clear developer briefs and verify that outputs meet requirements.
  • Manage marketing platform ownership, access permissions and governance across relevant tools and systems.
  • Support responsible use of first-party data, audience segments and marketing platform data.
  • Help prepare the marketing function for evolving privacy, consent and data governance expectations.
  • Evaluate new marketing technology, analytics tools and AI-enabled platform features.
  • Create documentation, processes and training that build internal capability and reduce reliance on external knowledge.
  • Support a data-first culture where decisions are informed by trusted evidence and performance is measured consistently.

What You’ll Need:

  • Strong experience in digital analytics, marketing technology, performance measurement or a related field.
  • Advanced understanding of Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
  • Experience with campaign tracking, conversion tracking, attribution and marketing reporting.
  • Understanding of how advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn or similar use conversion signals and audience data.
  • Experience building or improving measurement frameworks, dashboards and data quality processes.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into clear briefs for developers, agencies and vendors.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to present insights to senior leaders.
  • A practical understanding of privacy, consent and responsible customer data use.
  • A natural documentation mindset and a commitment to building institutional knowledge.
  • Confidence working across multiple teams, systems and priorities.

Experience in any of the following would be valuable:

  • BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform or other marketing data environments.
  • Looker Studio, Power BI or similar dashboarding tools.
  • Customer data, first-party audiences or CRM-integrated marketing measurement.
  • AI-enabled analytics or marketing technology tools.
  • Healthcare, not-for-profit, government, education or other regulated environments.
  • Working with media agencies, digital vendors or cross-functional technology teams.
  • Supporting marketing data requirements through system, integration or transformation projects.

Benefits:

The successful candidate will be offered an interactive and supportive working environment, along with:

  • $550 Health and Wellness reimbursement
  • 17.5% leave loading
  • Corporate uniform
  • Salary packaging and novated leasing
  • Consumer discounts
  • Discounts on first aid equipment
  • Complimentary First Aid Training
  • Complimentary ambulance cover
