About the Role:

We are looking for an Operations Resourcing Lead to join our Patient & Community Transport Services department on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

This position is responsible for leading and overseeing the efficient resourcing and dispatching of personnel within the patient and community transport team, working in conjunction with transport operations, sales and call centre team, and Resource Planning.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with St John resourcing team to ensure efficient rostering of Patient and Community Transport Services personnel.
  • Overall management of overtime and shift extensions of PaCTS personnel, ensuring overtime and shift extension usage is in line with budgeted expenses.
  • Responsible for effective dispatching of resources to meet workload and demand.
  • Manage fatigue with on road personnel by ensuring adequate resourcing is available to reduce shift extensions and unreasonable overtime.
  • Work closely with the Resource planning team to cover all Patient and Community Transport vacancies are filled in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Oversee the rostering of the workforce and shifts completed and provide advice on potential recruitment needs.
  • Ensure the team provides an exceptional level of customer service to on-road staff building strong relationships and a positive culture.
  • Escalate any reported issues to the Operations Leads and General Manager.

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in administration, including resource oversight and scheduling
  • Understanding of health transport operations and resourcing
  • Background in corporate, health, community or commercial based sectors
  • Knowledge of systems, tools and process within the ambit of this position
  • Good problem solving and organisational skills
