Reporting to the Head of Property and Development, this exciting and varied role will see you support key operating systems within St John WA Belmont sites and applicable regional sites, including security systems and HVAC maintenance.

You will be joining a collaborative, supportive, close-knit team, with cross-functional training opportunities being fully supported once you are up and running in your own role. No two days will be the same in this position - as St John WA’s Property Support Officer you will thrive on variety, problem solving and providing great customer service!   

What you’ll do:  

• Maintain, monitor and suggest improvements to the security, HVAC, solar and maintenance procedures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare, update and provide templates for consultants and contractors.
• Prepare, update and complete documents to enable quotes and costings for selected projects.
• Prepare documentation for the purpose of requesting fee or cost proposals.
• Manage the CCTV and access control system for applicable buildings across the network.
• Maintain the security system and key register for St John facilities across the Perth Metro & Regional
• Liaise and negotiate with contractors to achieve maximum value for money and provide recommended appointments to the Property and Development leadership team as required in line with the St John Finance Policy.
• Carry out periodic facilities inspections of sites across the metro area.

What you’ll need: 

• Demonstrated experience in a project and contract management environment
• Strong time-management and prioritisation skills, essential
• Strong negotiation skills coupled with an excellent ability to build rapport both internally and externally
• Ability to read, interpret and analyse architectural documentation
• Previous experience working with security and CCTV software
• High attention to detail, ensuring all information on tenders, quotes, costings and projects are documented and recorded
• Previous experience using Microsoft Project software or similar
