You will be joining a collaborative, supportive, close-knit team, with cross-functional training opportunities being fully supported once you are up and running in your own role. No two days will be the same in this position - as St John WA’s Property Support Officer you will thrive on variety, problem solving and providing great customer service!   

What you’ll do:  

  • Manage the CCTV and access control system for applicable buildings across the network.
  • Maintain and monitor security, HVAC, solar and maintenance procedures.
  • Carry out periodic facilities inspections of sites across the metro area.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare, update and provide templates for consultants and contractors.
  • Prepare, update and complete documents to enable quotes and costings for selected projects.
  • Prepare documentation for the purpose of requesting fee or cost proposals.
  • Maintain the security system and key register for St John facilities across the Perth Metro & Regional
  • Manage contractor relationships, including inductions, negotiations and appointments, ensuring value for money and compliance with company policies.
  • Other administration tasks as required.

What you’ll need: 

  • Strong experience in administrative roles.
  • Interest in learning about security functions including access control and CCTV management.
  • Strong time-management and prioritisation skills, essential
  • Strong negotiation skills coupled with an excellent ability to build rapport both internally and externally
  • High attention to detail, ensuring all information on tenders, quotes, costings and projects are documented and recorded
