A job to be proud of:

As a Software Developer, you are responsible for the development, and integration of software as a part of St John WA’s transformation program. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, help architect solutions, and implement scalable and high-performance software.  

This is a 1-year fixed term full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, based in the Belmont office.

What you’ll do:

  • Participate in the design and implementation of complex software solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and adhere to best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse software requirements, providing technical expertise across the full software development lifecycle process.
  • Utilise expertise in programming languages used to integrate and build robust and scalable backend systems.
  • Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and the identification of potential issues.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner, providing technical support to resolve production problems.
  • Implement updates and patches to address security vulnerabilities, improve functionality, and enhance overall system stability.
  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into technical solutions.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in C# .NET (or similar) programming language.
  • Extensive experience with software development frameworks and tools.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Solid understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (Angular, Vue)
