Are you passionate about injury management and supporting employees in their recovery journey? Join our team as a Return-to-Work Coordinator, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective return of employees to the workplace.

You will join the Injury Management Support Department team on a permanent, full-time basis and will be responsible for managing the claims and return-to-work process, developing tailored rehabilitation strategies, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to support employees. You’ll provide expert guidance on workers’ compensation and injury management while fostering a proactive approach to workplace health and wellbeing.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and coordinate individual return-to-work programs, ensuring alignment with policies and guidelines
  • Manage case files, including claims reviews, case conferences, and rehabilitation meetings
  • Provide expert advice and support on workers' compensation, injury management, and claims processes
  • Collaborate with employees, medical professionals, insurers, and managers to facilitate a smooth transition back to work
  • Maintain accurate records and provide timely reports on injury management activities
  • Deliver training and guidance on return-to-work strategies and workplace rehabilitation
  • Promote early intervention strategies and support a positive recovery culture within the organisation

What you’ll need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, or a related field (highly desirable)
  • 2-3 years’ experience in rehabilitation services and return-to-work planning
  • Registration with a relevant professional body (highly desirable)
  • Strong understanding of Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023, and relevant WHS Legislation (WHS Act 2020)
  • Relevant experience in the management of workplace injuries and supporting injured workers with rehabilitation and return to work goals
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
