The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Talent Sourcing Consultant to join our collaborative People team in Belmont.

In this role, you will partner with business units across St John WA to attract, source, and select high-quality talent for a wide range of roles. You will work closely with hiring managers to build effective recruitment strategies that are not only successful, but also fair, equitable, unbiased, and compliant with employment legislation.

What you will do:

  • Partner with managers across the business to deliver talent sourcing solutions for operational positions
  • Build recruitment plans, including agreed timelines and responsibilities, and secure hiring manager commitment
  • Develop selection matrices that identify behavioural and technical competencies, key selection criteria, and assessment methods
  • Build trusted relationships with hiring managers, coaching and educating them on effective selection practices
  • Use a range of selection tools, including assessment centres, interviews, presentations, skills assessments, psychometric assessments, and reference checks
  • Ensure all recruitment activity is compliant with internal processes, procedures, and employment legislation
  • Keep candidates informed and engaged throughout the recruitment process

What you will need:

  • Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment, including advertising, screening, competency-based interviewing, assessment centres, compliance, and onboarding
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a genuine passion for working with hiring managers and candidates
  • A solid understanding of recruitment compliance, procedures, and employment legislation
  • The ability to act as a trusted subject matter expert, providing contemporary advice on recruitment and selection practices
  • Experience developing talent pipelines for future workforce needs using LinkedIn, Seek Talent Search, and similar tools
