About the Role:

We are looking for a Workshop Assistant to join our State Control and Logistics department on a permanent full-time basis. The primary role of the Workshop Assistant will be to provide logistical support to deliver vehicles to and from the workshop. The Assistant will also provide general support around the workshop with maintaining spares levels, vehicle detailing, and workshop cleaning.

What You’ll Do:

  • Transport vehicles between depots, workshops, suppliers, and auctioneers for maintenance, repairs, and disposal
  • Provide detailing services as required for vehicles prior to delivery to depots and / or regional centres
  • Maintain stock and spare parts in the workshop
  • Provide general cleaning services around the workshop
  • Ensure administrative tasks comply with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe work environment and comply with occupational health and safety policies and procedures

What You’ll Need:

  • Background in corporate, health, community or commercial based sectors
  • Knowledge of systems, tools and process within the ambit of this position
  • Good problem solving and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience working in an environment with strict guidelines and set standards
  • Follow policies and procedures to ensure service standards are met.
  • C Class drivers’ license
  • Light Rigid (LR) license (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer service or patient care environment (highly desirable)
