About the Role
As part of our Primary Health Care Team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of people in custody by:
Provide safe, high-quality nursing care in a correctional health setting
Manage acute presentations and chronic disease management
Collaborate and liaise within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Conduct thorough nursing assessments, monitoring and escalation of care for patients in custody.
Adhere to relevant facilities standards, policies and procedures
About You
You are a compassionate and resilient nurse with exceptional clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and secure environment.
Essential:
AHPRA registration as an RN (no restrictions)
5+ years recent nursing experience
Current National Police Clearance within the last 3 months
Current Advanced Life Support Certificate (or willing to obtain)
Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate
WA Working with Children Check
Cannulation/Venepuncture competent
Ability to pass comprehensive background and integrity checks.
Effective communication skills and ability to maintain professional boundaries
Desirable:
Recent experience in acute care, primary health, mental health or custodial services.
Immunisation certification.
