About the Role:

We are looking for an Occupational Health Nurse to join our Wellbeing, Safety and Injury Management Support department on a 5-month fixed term fulltime basis.

In this role, you will manage and review staff pre-employment health assessments, blood and body fluid exposures, infectious disease exposures and immunisation programs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct workplace health assessments, screenings, and pre-employment health evaluations.
  • Deliver occupational health clinic services, including vaccinations, routine screenings, contact tracing, and health record management.
  • Coordinate and deliver evidence‑based occupational health programs, including immunisation campaigns.
  • Develop and deliver health education sessions for team members.
  • Ensure compliance with nursing regulations, ethical standards, and relevant Acts and policies.
  • Plan, coordinate, and audit occupational health services with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Provide first aid, emergency care, and support Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) testing when required.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support multidisciplinary care and manage exposure incidents.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience in Occupational Health Screening programs.
  • Current Driver’s License
  • HLTPAT005 qualification for collecting specimens for drug and alcohol testing (desirable).
  • Current Department of Health approved immunisation certificate (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of immunisation practices, infection control, and managing occupational exposures.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining continuous RN registration.
