What You’ll Do

  • Deliver impactful training using nationally recognised frameworks including AIIMS, MIMMS, and EMERGO.
  • Work closely with the Emergency Management team to innovate and improve training delivery.
  • Foster collaboration with external emergency services and health providers.
  • Maintain and enhance training resources and materials.
  • Facilitate both classroom and in-field learning opportunities across metropolitan and regional locations.
  • Travel as required to regional areas to ensure equitable access to high-quality training.

Required

  • MIMMS Instructor certification (mandatory) – Director-level preferred.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
  • Emergo Train System instructor certification (highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience delivering training in healthcare or emergency response settings.
  • Strong understanding of emergency management, incident response, and prehospital care protocols.
  • Experience developing and managing organisational training programs.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills adaptable to various learning styles.
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple training sessions.
  • Background or qualification in emergency medicine, paramedicine, or a related field is desirable.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel to regional areas as needed.
  • Self-directed with strong initiative, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to professional standards.

  • How would you handle a situation where a group of healthcare staff is resistant to the training or change, you’re trying to implement?
