About the Role:
The Leave Officer – Operations is responsible for responding to operational leave queries for the emergency stream. Leave queries include parental leave, annual leave, personal leave, long service leave, special leave and others leave types. This position requires collaboration with the Workforce Scheduling team to ensure that operational leave is appropriately scheduled and managed. This is a 12-month fixed opportunity for 12 hours per week. Hours of work are 7.5 hours on a Friday (flexible with start and finish time) and 4.5 hours on another day, of your choice. There may be opportunities to pick up more work to cover leave in the team, if you are interested.
What you’ll do:
- Respond to operation leave queries
- Provide information and advice to operations team members around leave
- Ensure leave information is entered accurately and efficiently into the Payroll system
- Collaborate with Workforce Scheduling team to ensure operational leave is appropriately scheduled and managed
- Escalate complex leave queries to line manager for guidance and support
What you’ll need:
- Experience in payroll, HR, leave management or complex data entry position.
- Background in corporate, health, community or commercial based sectors
- Good problem solving and organisational skills
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficient in MS Office suite, specifically Excel
