About the Role:

We are seeking a Modern Workplace Engineer to join our Digital Services team on a permanent full-time basis, based at our Belmont office.

The Modern Workplace Engineer is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving the organisation’s end-user technology experience. This role ensures employees have reliable, secure and modern tools across endpoint devices, collaboration and productivity platforms, enterprise applications, mobility and broader digital workplace services. The role combines hands-on engineering with a strong focus on user experience, automation, standardisation and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and optimise Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Exchange Online.
  • Design, manage and improve endpoint platforms across Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.
  • Manage device provisioning, software deployment, patching, compliance and vulnerability remediation.
  • Troubleshoot complex endpoint, application and workplace technology issues.
  • Develop and maintain automation and scripting solutions using PowerShell, Python or similar tools.
  • Implement security, governance and configuration standards across the digital workplace.
  • Monitor workplace technology performance and use insights to improve the employee experience.
  • Contribute to incident, problem and change management, including root-cause analysis.
  • Maintain technical documentation, standards and runbooks.
  • Lead technology improvements, pilots and modernisation initiatives in a medium to large enterprise environment.

What You’ll Need:

  • Proven experience in a Modern Workplace Engineering or similar role.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications and ITIL certification.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and endpoint management platforms such as Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Workspace ONE or Jamf.
  • Experience across Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.
  • Strong PowerShell, Python or similar scripting/automation skills.
  • Knowledge of identity, device compliance, security and Zero Trust principles.
  • Experience with software packaging, application deployment, patching and configuration management.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical and business teams.
