We are currently recruiting a Purchasing Officer to join our Supply Chain team in Belmont in a permanent, full-time capacity. Reporting to the Purchasing Lead, this role will serve as a key liaison with suppliers, fostering and managing supplier relationships while also providing vital support for the day-to-day operations of the supply chain.

The position will suit a motivated individual who can work both autonomously and as part of a team, enjoys variety and thrives on challenges.

What you’ll do:

• Assist with the end to end purchasing & logistics process Purchase order processing & general administration.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth interactions and reliable supply.
• Monitor and review supplier open orders to ensure on-time deliveries and fulfillment.
•  Efficiently prioritising prompt resolution of purchase and supplier queries. Communicate relevant information to internal stakeholders.
• Act as a liaison between suppliers and stakeholders. Coordinate with the Accounts Payable  team for invoice processing and accuracy.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within purchasing and logistics.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures in all purchasing activities.

What you’ll need:

• Experience in a purchasing/procurement environment
• Exposure in healthcare desirable, but not essential
• Have excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
• Effective time-management and planning skills with the ability to multi-task
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suites
• High level of verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to demonstrate initiative.
• Great work ethic with the ability to think outside the square.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
