A job to be proud of:

As a Senior Software Developer at St John WA, you are responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of software applications within the Frontline Applications Stream. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, help architect solutions, and implement scalable and high-performance software.

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Head Office in Belmont with flexible working arrangements are available.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex software solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and adhere to best practices.
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for efficient data manipulation and retrieval, query trouble shooting and optimisation
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner, providing technical support to resolve production problems.
  • Implement updates and patches to address security vulnerabilities, improve functionality, and enhance overall system stability.
  • Lead discussions on architecture and design decisions, ensuring alignment with project goals and scalability requirements.
  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Utilise expertise in programming languages used to build robust and scalable backend systems.
  • Design and implement efficient algorithms and data structures, optimising software performance

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years .NET/C# development experience
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Software Developer, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Track record of successfully delivering complex software solutions.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Azure
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Solid understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (Angular, Vue).
  • Extensive experience with software development frameworks and tools.
