As the Training Experience Designer at St John WA, you will play a key role in building organisational capability during the rollout of CoreHR and a workforce management system. You will design, develop and deliver learning experiences, documentation and support resources that enable people leaders, SMEs and team members to use new systems with confidence. Through thoughtful instructional design, strong stakeholder engagement and a focus on adoption, this position ensures our people have the knowledge, tools and clarity they need from UAT & KUT Testing to go-live and beyond. This is 12-month fixed term, full-time role working in our Belmont Office.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and deliver tailored role-based learning pathways and webinar-based training, incorporating SOPs, QRGs, videos, scenarios, and practice activities to support adoption.
  • Prepare training materials such as pre-read packs, live demonstrations, scenario walkthroughs, and practice exercises for diverse user groups.
  • Review and update learning pathways and training content based on feedback, analytics, system changes, and continuous improvement needs.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, FAQs, quick tips, and short learning videos, ensuring governance, accessibility, and version control.
  • Build and manage cohesive, accessible resource libraries and platforms (e.g., SharePoint hubs) to host documentation, training resources, updates, and self-service learning materials.
  • Translate technical processes into clear, plain-language content aligned with process owners, system design, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Change Partners, System Administrators, SMEs, and People Services to ensure alignment across workstreams, consistent messaging, and governance.
  • Create triage guides, escalation pathways, and issue-resolution resources for post–go-live support, documenting common issues and fixes while capturing knowledge during hypercare.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience developing training materials, SOPs and QRGs for HRIS or complex systems.
  • Knowledge of instructional design and ability to translate technical processes into plain language.
  • Experience in facilitating both in-person and virtual classroom education and workshops.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a complex in a fast organisation with a variety of stakeholder groups with varying levels of needs and requirements. 
  • Relevant qualification in Training & Assessment, Education, Human Resources, Information Systems or a related discipline (Certificate IV, Diploma or Bachelor) – desirable, or
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role, such as Learning & Development Specialist, Instructional Designer, Training Coordinator.
