St John WA – Brand Team Full‑time | Belmont

Do you live and breathe digital culture? Do you understand how communities form online? Are you a natural storyteller who can turn real‑world impact into content people want to watch, share, and talk about?

If so, you might be the person we’re looking for.

St John WA is on a mission to build stronger, healthier, more resilient communities. To do that, we need to show up in the digital world in ways that are relevant, human, and engaging - and that’s where you come in.

About the Role

As our Digital Community Engagement Specialist, you’ll shape how St John WA connects with our communities online. You’ll create compelling digital content, grow and diversify our audience, and build a vibrant community that helps inform the future of our services.

This is a hands‑on, creative, strategic role where you’ll:

  • Create platform‑native content that resonates with real people
  • Build and nurture online communities across multiple digital platforms
  • Engage in conversations that matter to Western Australians
  • Help shift public understanding of St John WA beyond ambulance and first aid
  • Turn audience insights into meaningful organisational learnings

You’ll sit within the Brand Team - a collaborative, supportive group passionate about storytelling, creativity, and impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and deliver digital engagement strategies that build brand affinity
  • Create short‑form video, graphics, stories, and other digital content
  • Manage day‑to‑day engagement across platforms like TikTok, Reddit, Instagram, YouTube, and more
  • Identify trends, cultural moments, and opportunities for St John WA to participate meaningfully
  • Build a community of advocates who share feedback and help shape future services
  • Track performance and use insights to continually improve content and engagement

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in digital engagement, content creation, or social‑first storytelling
  • A deep understanding of digital communities and youth culture
  • Strong creative instincts and the ability to produce content quickly and confidently
  • Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to connect with people
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to experiment
  • A passion for purpose‑driven work and community impact

Formal qualifications are welcome but not essential - we value attitude, passion, strategic thinking and creativity above paperwork.

Why St John WA?
