We are currently seeking an experienced Trainer & Assessor to deliver First Aid courses in Kalgoorlie Region. This is an ideal opportunity to Teach your community to save lives and join the market leader in First Aid. Join our supportive team and help create resilient communities. We are looking to bring on board Full Time, Part Time or Casual employment. 

What you’ll need:

• Knowledge of first aid guidelines and regulations, including ANZCOR and ARC guidelines.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire learners. Previous experience in delivering First Aid training (highly desirable).
• Flexibility and availability to work both weekdays and weekends.
• Friendly and engaging personality.
• Excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
• Hold a current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid or be willing to obtain if successful.
• Hold a current ‘Working with Children Card’ or be willing to obtain if successful.
• Current ‘C’ or ‘CA’ class driver’s license.

Qualifications Required:

• • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or a recognised equivalent.
  • TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set, or a recognised equivalent.
  • A recognised teaching qualification, together with experience delivering training, assessment or workplace learning.
  • A Diploma or higher qualification in adult education, vocational education and training, or a related education field.
  • An approved training and assessment credential currently in progress.

    The updated requirements recognise a broader range of qualifications and credentials for people delivering first aid training. This means you may not need to hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to be considered for a first aid trainer role with St John WA.

    You may be eligible if you hold one of the following recognised qualification pathways:

  You do not need to hold every qualification listed. The pathway that applies will depend on your existing qualifications, experience, the training being delivered and St John WA’s registered training organisation (RTO) requirements.

  We welcome applications from experienced trainers, teachers, emergency services professionals and industry practitioners who are passionate about building capability in regional communities.

  Support and professional development opportunities may be available for suitable candidates who are working towards a recognised training and assessment credential.

  If you do not hold any of the qualifications listed above but believe you have what it takes to be a first aid trainer, we still encourage you to reach out. St John WA offers development pathways for suitable candidates, including support to work towards completing the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
